Parson’s Produce is using their sweet corn bounty to help others in Jesus’ name. This weekend and next, Thursday through Saturday, you can buy a dozen ears for $3 and proceeds will be donated to the Backpack Program, which provides take-home food to children in the Sioux Falls school district every Friday during the school year. I hear the corn is great–head over if you can and help the Parson’s bless others in need in the Sioux Empire!

National Night Out is the 26th annual crime prevention event tonight from 6:30-8:30 at locations throughout Sioux Falls. There are 12 neighborhood watch parties planned at various homes, and police officers will visit and talk to citizens involved in the programs. Visit the Sioux Falls City website for more.
