Super Cancer Fighting Foods!

A Life 96.5 friend named Kelli sent this to me about super cancer fighting foods and I wanted to share it with you!

I found this on msn.com and it’s a list of the “12 Super Foods” that are cancer resistant, heart healthy, and promote lower weight levels than those people who don’t eat these foods – have a great weekend!  Kelli

-          Nuts – especially Almonds and Pistachios

-          Whole Grains (so much better than multi grain)

-          Avocadoes (no not in guacamole!!!) and Olive Oil

-          Grass fed and range fed beef, chicken and pork

-          Berries – the best antioxidants are in these berries, and in this order:

  • Cranberries; Black Currents; Blueberries; Blackberries; Raspberries; Strawberries; and Pomegranates.

-          Instant Oats = Whole oats with low sodium

-          Veggies – Order of most beneficial:

  • Broccoli; Cauliflower; Brussels Sprouts; Kale; Cabbage; Swiss Chard; and Bok Choy.

-          Organic Fruit – especially those fruits we eat with the peeling on such as apples, peaches, and pears (no pesticides used on these)

-          Navy Beans and other Legumes

-          Dark Chocolate

-          Ice Cream – one tennis sized scoop!  (I was thinking this would be good with some berries and a little dark chocolate drizzled over it!)
