Farewell, Kodachrome

If you’re someone who’s into taking photos or just someone who enjoys looking at neat pictures (like me), than heads up on this one. The Kodak folks announced this week that they will no longer be offering their Kodachrome film product. Formerly the staple of their film empire… the move was made because they said that it no longer accounted for even one percent of their sales. It also reflects the growing prevalence of digital cameras.

A super cool way to say farewell to this old friend / film is to take a look at a slideshow of some of the best pictures ever taken with the product.

A Long Walk to Illinois

A young man named Mike Durbin is walking 500 miles this summer to raise money for worldwide missions. He, his dad, and his uncle are strolling from Whitehouse, Texas to Springfield, Illinois. They hope to raise $10,000 for the Assemblies of God mission board and complete their trek in less than 6 weeks.
