The Center of Hope in Sioux Falls provides bicycles to people who need help with transportation to their places of employment. You can make a difference by donating a new or used adult bicycle in working condition (24 inch tire size or larger) All types of bikes are useful and wanted and would be gladly accepted. New and used bike locks are also accepted.

Life 96.5 and Restoration Church of Sioux Falls invite you to be the hands and feet of Jesus this Thanksgiving by blessing families in need with a Thank-FULL Thanksgiving!
Restoration Church is providing 150 turkeys with a challenge for Life 96.5 listeners to provide a box or basket-full of the remaining grocery items needed to create a Thanksgiving meal that would feed a family of 6.
Items to be provided would be non-perishable and could be used to create several dishes that would accompany the turkey. Things like canned vegetables, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and a box of stuffing mix would be wonderful. Choose a box or basket and fill it with the suggested items on our list, or come up with your own list, maybe based on the unique dishes you prepare for your own holiday meal (just be sure to include any special recipes!). Then bring your box of food items to Restoration Church (2601 S. Marion Road, (605)271-5357) between November 15 and 19, from 6-8pm.
The church will add the turkey (gift certificate) and deliver your box on Saturday, November 20th! If you would like to help a family with one or more dinners, please let us know by registering here. Once we have 150 meals, we will close the registration.
Another opportunity to be a blessing is to nominate a family in need to receive A Life 96.5 Thank-FULL Thanksgiving! If you know someone who would love to receive the makings for a dinner, you can nominate them here. We will accept up to 150 nominations. The recipients will be contacted by phone and delivery will be arranged for Saturday, November 20th.

Last year, over 40 Sioux Empire families in need of transportation were blessed with a car because of your donations of used vehicles. Comedian Ken Davis will be bringing laughs with a purpose to the Sioux Empire on Saturday, October 30th. Ken’s ‘Comedy Concert’ will be at the Washington Pavilion of Arts & Science in Sioux Falls, with the show starting at 7 pm. Doors open at 6 pm.

Come on out and see Life 96.5 at the Sioux Empire Fair in Sioux Falls this week! We’ll be broadcasting live from the Safety Village on the fairgrounds from 4 to 6 pm on Tuesday and Friday. Find us at the front of the Horticulture building (just look for the 96.5 van).
We’ll be giving away a free bicycle donated by Harlan’s Bike and Tour in Sioux Falls – as well as a lot of great Life 96.5 goodies.
On Tuesday, Ryan, Jeff, and Tim will be manning the 96.5 booth and Friday come see Dave, Suzanne, and Ryan.

A COMMUNITY PAINT PROJECT
During June, Life 96.5 and Norberg Paints of Sioux Falls are teaming up in celebration of the business’s 125th Anniversary!
Generations ago, two Swedish brothers came to America to flee religious persecution and begin a new life.
Their business was selling paint and painting products. Norberg Paints is still doing business today, and to say thanks to our community, the store is providing paint to cover 125 homes in Sioux Falls this year. Read more »

Our April Hands and Feet opportunity is collecting Life 96.5 Kid Care Kits for Haiti.
Ryan from Life 96.5 and LifeLight missions are going to Port Au Prince, Haiti May 27th – June 3rd.
We want to show Haitians God’s love by passing out these “kid care kits” while the missions team is there. We ask that you fill the kits exactly with no more or no less in each bag due to transporting restrictions.
In a one gallon zip lock baggie:
•1 small stuffed animal
•1 bar of body soap
•1 tube of toothpaste
•1 toothbrush
